 Academic Pods of Georgia was created for parents seeking a small-group learning environment that nurtures both academic and personal growth. Our mission is to provide a nurturing, personalized learning environment that fosters academic excellence, social-emotional growth, and a lifelong love of learning. By maintaining small class sizes, we empower young learners with individualized attention, hands-on experiences, and strong community connections, ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.

Our Students and Curriculum

Academic Pods of Georgia (APG) is an independent elementary microschool dedicated to providing a nurturing, small-group learning environment. We currently serve Kindergarten and 1st grade, with a maximum of 10 students per class. Enrollment is now open for these grades, and we plan to expand to 2nd grade in the 2026-2027 school year. Beyond 3rd grade, we support families by recommending high-quality educational resources to continue their child’s learning journey.

Kindergarten

Our kindergarten program is built around thematic, child-centered activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and foundational skill development. Through an integrated approach, we foster social and emotional growth while building a strong foundation in:

• Language Arts & Math
• Social Studies
• Science

First and Second Grades

At the primary level, we focus on each student’s individual progress, nurturing their strengths while ensuring a balanced, engaging learning experience. We challenge our students while fostering a love of learning through warm and thoughtful guidance. The curriculum includes:

Monthly Electives

To enrich the learning experience, we offer engaging monthly electives in:

Curriculum

At Academic Pods of Georgia, we utilize the Abeka Curriculum, a well-researched, structured program designed to provide the right balance of challenge and support for every learner. We believe that:

• Too little challenge leads to complacency.
• Too much challenge causes frustration.
• The right amount of challenge fosters growth and success.

Abeka’s carefully developed and time-tested approach ensures that:

• Average students can succeed with structured, engaging content.
• Students who need extra support can progress at a steady, comfortable pace.
• Above-average students remain engaged and challenged without feeling bored or      unmotivated.

With age-appropriate content presented in manageable steps, students build confidence and a strong academic foundation.

A New Learning Experience—Launching August 2025

Academic Pods of Georgia was founded to meet the community's need for an academically rigorous and supportive learning environment. We offer two distinct learning pods:

• One pod for neurotypical students to thrive in a structured, enriching setting.
• One pod for neurodiverse students designed to support their intellectual,      physical, and emotional wellness.

Our flexible and supportive approach allows students to learn in diverse ways, equipping them with the skills needed to navigate an increasingly complex world.

Schedule

Students attend classes Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

On Wednesdays, students stay until 2:00 PM for a "Specials" day, where they participate in an elective class to explore creative and hands-on learning opportunities.
